I’m Meck, and I work as a Financial Software Analyst Trainee at MORS. I study at Aalto University School of Business, where I’m pursuing a Master’s degree in Information & Service Management. I heard about MORS for the first time while working on my bachelor’s thesis, as the topic was closely aligned with the company’s focus. Consequently, I decided to reach out to MORS and send an open application. Shortly after, I received an interview invitation, which further deepened my interest in the company. The recruitment process with MORS was straightforward and efficient, with clear communication after each stage.

Learning new skills and applying my studies
During my time at MORS as part of the Services team, I’ve gained valuable insights into the day-to-day operations of a growing software company, and I got the chance to tackle various tasks in a cross-functional setting. My primary responsibilities have included managing the functionality of customer environments, providing customer support across a range of topics, and assisting with bug testing and other implementation projects. Additionally, I was also able to challenge myself with other supportive tasks, such as querying data with SQL.
The most rewarding part in my work has been solving problems that in the beginning of my internship felt insurmountable, and to notice how much you have learned. My internship has helped to bridge the gap between my academic background and real-world applications, by gaining hands-on experience from working in the intersection of finance and technology. It goes without saying that thriving in an upscaling software company requires excellent collaboration and communication, and I’ve been pleased to see my skills in these areas develop further.
A supportive and inclusive team
What stands out for me the most at MORS, is the supportive and inclusive work culture. From day one, my team and colleagues made me feel welcome and encouraged me to ask questions and seek help when needed. When faced with complex technical customer inquiries, my team was always ready to give a helping hand, which I found incredibly helpful. Their support not only helped me resolve issues more effectively but also deepened my understanding of the technical side of our services.
Conclusion
My internship at MORS has been a highly positive and enriching experience, offering valuable insights into the financial software industry. Moreover, it has contributed to my professional growth and helped clarify my future career direction and aspirations. If you’re interested into working in the intersection of finance and technology, I wholeheartedly recommend applying to MORS. It’s a fantastic environment for learning, growth, and collaboration.
